VCA Lions Lacrosse Team

It was an epic evening for the VCA lacrosse home opener. Light snow set the background for the start of the game. It was a hard-fought battle throughout the game. VCA and Crown Point went back and forth with scoring, each taking the lead at times. Finally, VCA pulled away to a three-goal lead. But that was not the end for Crown Point; they came storming back to tie the game with one minute left in the game. The snow had covered the field by this time, and daylight was slipping away. It was tough to see the ball. At the face-off, with one minute left, Bandon Lally snatched up the ball passed to Hudson Felsman, which he battled his way through an onslaught of Crown Point defenders. The ball came loose; Ben Millard scooped it up quickly, dodged his way to the goal and shoot, and scored, giving VCA the lead with 10 seconds left. Now it was almost dark, snow falling heavily. Brandon again snatched up the ball at face-off and ran out the clock to give VCA a home season opener Victory!  All team members played well last night, contributing to the win making the entire game fun to watch for our VCA lacrosse friends and family.

Goals scored: Hudson Felsman 2; Luke Hoffman 2; and Ben Millard with the "HAT TRICK" 3 goals, including the winning GOAL!

The VCA Lions play Portage Christian at HOME TONIGHT at 5 pm!
